General Qualifications
- Post high school education (at least 2 years suggested)
- Desire to work with children, adults, and animals in an educational setting
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Good character, integrity and accountability
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid
- Ability to identify and respond to potential and actual hazards
General Work Duties
- Teach and instruct classes within the Rawhide Ranch program to children and adults
- Participate in daily activities of animal care and ranch maintenance
- Work with animals under direct supervision of team leads and directors
- Assist in evening programs when necessary
- Work in all aspects of the camp program, where needed
- Uphold the highest of standards in Customer Service
- Assess visually and audibly; risk management issues and potential safety hazards
- Ability to support and enforce ranch policies and procedures
- Flexibility in changes in schedule, duties, and opportunities
- Desire to become cross-trained in as many aspects of ranch work as capable
- Ability to endure the daily ranch work including but not limited to: Raking, lifting repeatedly up to 75 lbs, standing for long periods of time, pulling, pushing, and maintenance duties
Position Details
- Typical flexible work schedule
- Work week is Wednesday – Sunday
- Weekends and/or week days (part time)
- Salary – starting at $8.00-$8.50
- Full time – Health, vision, dental, 2 weeks paid vacation
- Full time and Seasonal – Minimum 32 hours per week
- Part time/on call midweek and/or weekend work based on program needs and your schedule
- Full time and seasonal – Room and board may be available
- Meals will be available when scheduled
